We have added the option to make user photos round vs square in the Directory Options depending on if your theme support it. We also added custom date formatting to the Birthday and Anniversary widgets (you may need to resave your widgets after update to activate). And there is now an option in the Directory Options menu at the bottom to refresh user profile data, such as birthday and anniversary widgets. Admins will also need to obtain an API key from the Members area and paste it in the Simple Intranet / General Settings area (or the Plugins area when trying to update) to enable further updates. Note that admins must login to the members area using the same login email as was used for payment.

A new field of Location has been added to the User Profile area. New shortcode parameters for company and location have been added for the employee directory list view with sorting options, see Documentation or Simple Intranet menu for details.

Version 2.35 rewrites birthday and anniversary widget code to display them properly. Also, custom labels now will not include slashes when using punctuation, and the hide email option in User Profiles can now be disabled.

Added an Employee Search widget and fixed ordering issue in Upcoming Birthdays widget. Note, to use the Employee Search widget you must have an active employee listing page using the [employees] shortcode. Added Employee Directory shortcode parameters for hiding search and setting size of avatar along with limit of records shown per page: [employees limit=25 search=no avatar=200] allows 25 records per page, no search bar at the top and avatar pixel width of 200 pixels.

– The upload file option will not visible in the WordPress Media Uploader when role permissions are set accordingly.
– Default and custom permalink settings issue for sharing of files is resolved.
– Added an “Upload” button on front end, and there is an icon to set permission next to the icon of upload file.
– Permissions are integrated with standard WordPress roles, and there is now a tab of USER-ROLES in which options are implemented.
– Multiple file or folder selections have been added (e.g. Ctrl, Shift/Select key with mouse).
– Blank green background messages have been fixed.
– When permissions are set on a parent folder, now child folder can also inherit those permissions.

In the Users / Your Profile area for Administrators only, we have added the option under “Enable Detailed Employee Directory Page” to check a box to allow each user to create and edit a custom HTML biography page. It is prepopulated with Employee Directory information, but you can add photos, files and edit it like any other post or page. The title must remain their full name however to work with the Employee Directory functionality.

Overhauled and extended the Employee Directory options available at “Users / Your Profile”. Added many more user profile fields including social networking options. Created a custom post type called “Biographies” which shows profiles saved under the “/bios” directory. Each time the user profile information is updated, it will update the employee summary directory and detailed biography post. Administrators also have the ability to restrict access by role to click through to the detailed employee profile pages (this is done also in the “Users/Your Profile” area when logged in as an Admin only). Also, custom field labels in the User Profile area can now be edited.
